Two Factor Authentication
Adding Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) to your MorphMarket account is the most effective way to protect yourself from unauthorized access. Even if someone obtains your password, 2FA helps keep your account secure by requiring a second layer of verification. We strongly encourage all users to enable 2FA as part of maintaining good digital hygiene. This small step can prevent major issues like account takeovers, scams, or loss of data.

Setting Up 2FA
Step-by-Step Instructions
- Log in to your MorphMarket account.

Click your profile icon in the top-right corner and go to
Account Settings → General.
- Scroll to the Login section and click Manage Two-Factor Authentication.

From here, you’ll see several options for setting up 2FA. Select your preferred method(s) by clicking Add or View in the lower-right corner of each option and follow the onscreen instructions:
- Authenticator App: Use an app like Google Authenticator (Android and iOS) to generate secure login codes.
- SMS / Text Message: Receive login tokens by text message on your mobile device.
- Backup Codes: Save these single-use codes somewhere safe. They’re essential if you lose access to your primary 2FA device.
- Email: Receive login tokens via your primary email address associated with your MorphMarket account.
Done!
Your account is now protected by 2FA. The next time you log in, you’ll need to enter the token from your authenticator app along with your password.
Backup Codes
Enabling 2FA on your MorphMarket account is a wise decision to protect your account from unauthorized access. We highly recommend keeping your backup codes in a safe place in case you ever lose access to your authenticator app. If you ever need to disable 2FA you can use the "Remove" button, but be sure to delete the account from your 2FA app.
Don't Skip Backup Codes!
Before leaving the setup screen, download or copy your backup codes and store them in a safe place. These can save you if your phone is lost, broken, or replaced. Without them, you may be locked out and will need to contact our team to verify your identity.
Using an Authenticator App (Highly Recommended)
To set up 2FA with an authenticator app:
- Click Add next to the Authenticator App option.
- You will be prompted to open your 2FA app of choice and scan the QR code displayed on the MorphMarket screen.
- Your app will generate a 6-digit token. Enter this into the Token field on MorphMarket.
- Click Done to finalize the setup.

Lost Access to Your 2FA Device?
When you first set up 2FA, MorphMarket provided you with a set of backup codes. These are one-time-use emergency tokens that can bypass your 2FA device.
To log in using a backup code:
- On the 2FA screen, click the “Lost access to this device?” link.
- Enter one of your backup codes in the field provided.
- If valid, you’ll be logged in and can immediately update your 2FA settings.
Important
Each backup code can only be used once. After using one, be sure to generate a new set from your account settings.
If you don’t have access to your device or your backup codes, contact our Customer Support team. We’ll need to verify your identity before removing or resetting 2FA on your account.
