Direct Messaging

Have you ever wanted to message a seller without inquiring about a specific animal? Good news! MorphMarket now allows direct messaging, making it easier to ask questions or seek advice from sellers without needing to inquire about a particular listing.


How to Enable

Sellers can opt-in to use this feature via their Seller Profile settings.

  • This page can be accessed using the main menu navigation or by clicking the "Settings" icon in the new messenger tabs.

  • On your settings page, locate the "Inquiry Settings" section.
  • Check the box labeled "Allow direct messages."
  • Remember to save your changes.

How to Send a Direct Message

Once direct messaging is enabled, a message icon will appear on the seller's store profile page, as well as the listing pages.

  • It will be visible in the lower right corner of their store card on the ad detail page.

  • It will be visible over their profile photo icon on their store profile page

Simply click on the icon and type your message into the pop-up menu that appears.


Congrats! You can now have a direct conversation without the need to send an inquiry. Before this, messages could only be created when an inquiry was sent from a buyer to a seller for a specific listing. This means that buyers and sellers can now reach out to sellers without an inquiry, whether that be to ask a question before bidding on an auction or to ask for advice.
