Adding Husbandry Activities

The Husbandry and Activity Log tools allow you to record important activities such as shedding, feeding, weight change, length change, ovulation, pairings, and more. For an overview of these pages, click here. In this help guide, we will detail the various ways that a user can add an activity for their animals.

We provide several ways to add activities to help you manage and care for your animals efficiently. Here’s a detailed guide on how to add activities using different methods:

From Your Husbandry and Animal Manager Pages (Individually)

You can add activities for each animal individually from your Husbandry and Animal Manager pages.

If you are on the Husbandry page, clicking on the animal title will automatically open the "Add Activity" module. Otherwise, you can add activities via both of these pages by following the steps below.

On both the card and table views, tap on the kebab menu ⋮ (vertical 3 dots) next to the specific animal.

Select "Add Activity" from the dropdown menu.

From there, select the "Activity Type" and add any additional information desired.

From Your Husbandry and Animal Manager Pages (Bulk Actions)

You can also add activities to multiple animals at once using Bulk Actions on both your Animal Manager and Husbandry pages.

Select the checkboxes of the animals you want to record an activity for
Click on the "Bulk Actions" button at the top of the Animal Manager table.
Select "Add Activity" from the Bulk Actions menu.

From Your Activity Log Page

You can add activities directly from your Activity Log page by tapping the "Add Activity" button located in the top right corner.

Clicking the "+" icon next to an existing activity will create a new activity of that same type for that same animal.

From Your Individual Edit Animal Page

If you open your animal's individual edit page, you will see a tab for "Husbandry" and a tab for "Activity Log."

The "Husbandry" tab takes you to that individual animal's most recent husbandry activity. You can add new activities or edit existing ones on this page.
The "Activity Log" tab takes you to that summary of all of the activities logged for that individual animal.

By Scanning a QR Code

Using our enclosure labels you can print and generate a QR code for each individual animal.

Using the "Scan QR" tab on the User Profile menu, scan the code.

Note: You can also scan this directly from your device's camera. However, that will redirect you to the mobile browser, not the app. To access this page via this method, please make sure you are logged in on the web browser.

Once scanned, you will be shown an option to view the "Edit" page or the "Husbandry" page for that specific animal. You will be redirected to the page of your choosing.

If you want to set your default page preference, click the "Remember this Choice" option BEFORE clicking the page button.
You can change your default selection at any time via the QR code section on your User Profile Settings Page.

From the Groups / Racks Page

You can add activities for animals in a Group or Rack, either individually, for a custom-selected group, or for the entire group or rack.

To select a single animal, click on that animal's cell.
- On condensed views, the "add activity" button will appear at the bottom of the page.

On the card views, the action icons will appear directly over the cell. The heart with the "+" sign can be used to add a new activity.

To select multiple animals, click the "Edit" button, and then select the cells of the animals for which you want to add the activity.

You can also use the "Select All" checkbox to select all animals in that specific Group/Rack at once.

The "Add Activity" button will appear at the bottom of the page.
