This guide will walk you through the features and functionalities of the MorphMarket Messenger system, ensuring you make the most out of your conversations with potential buyers or sellers.

Accessing Messenger:

MorphMarket Messenger is conveniently located in the Header, accessible by tapping the speech bubbles icon.

Message Organization:

Your conversations are neatly organized and can be filtered for easy access:

Archive
To You

Special Filters:

The "Needs Reply" button highlights messages requiring a response or action.
"Unseen" displays new, unread messages.
Utilize the search functions to find messages by certain user or about a specific listing.

Exploring Conversations:

Tap a conversation to view the entire thread. Reply directly within the messenger or choose to respond via email.

Profile and Listing Links:

At the top of each message thread you will find a link to the other party's Buyer Profile or Store, as well as a link to the inquired animal's listing. Sellers can also view the Buyer's History Score – find more details in our support docs.

Typing Indicator:

An animated "..." symbol indicates when the other party is typing, providing a real-time view into ongoing conversations.

New Message Indicator:

The "new message" indicator turns green right away when a new message has arrived, eliminating the need to refresh the screen.

Instant Messaging:

MorphMarket Messenger now supports "instant messaging," ensuring faster and more dynamic communication.

Mobile Messaging:

For messaging on the go, install the MorphMarket app for iOS and Android.

Push Notifications:

The app adds push notifications, ensuring immediate alerts for new messages. Faster responses lead to more closed sales.

Attachments:

Easily share images and files by using the paperclip icon within the messages.

Actions:

Buyers and sellers can take quick actions within the messenger system, depending on their role in the inquiry. Each action is accompanied by an admin message, providing clarity and transparency in communication. Below is a breakdown of each action and its corresponding admin message:

Already Responded:

Admin Message: "Seller indicated they responded to this inquiry elsewhere."
Action: This action informs the other party that the seller has already responded to the inquiry outside of the MorphMarket Messenger.

Mark as Sold:

Admin Message: "Seller indicated this item was sold to you. You can now rate this transaction with this link."
Action: Marks the listing as sold to the buyer, allowing the buyer to rate the transaction.

Mark on Hold:

Admin Message: "Seller marked this item as hold."
Action: Marks the listing as on hold, indicating to the buyer that the item is temporarily unavailable.

No Longer Available:

Admin Message: "Seller indicated this item is no longer available. This thread has been closed and can no longer be replied to."
Action: Informs the buyer that the item is no longer available and closes the thread, preventing further replies.

Decline Inquiry:

Admin Message: "Seller has declined to respond to this inquiry. This could occur for various reasons, but we recommend you try another seller. If you're new, you might find our tips on inquiry best practices helpful. This thread has been closed and can no longer be replied to."
Action: Indicates that the seller has chosen not to respond to the inquiry, suggesting the buyer explore other options. Closes the thread to further replies.

Block User:

Admin Message: "Seller has declined to respond to this inquiry and blocked you from sending additional inquiries. This could occur for various reasons, but we recommend you reconsider your approach and try another seller. If you're new, you might find our tips on inquiry best practices helpful. This thread has been closed and can no longer be replied to."
Action: Similar to "Decline Inquiry," but also blocks the user from sending additional inquiries. Closes the thread to further replies.

Archive:

Admin Message: [No admin message]
Action: Moves the thread into the Archive inbox folder without adding an admin message.
